Welcome to the computer departments web site. Please have a good look round our department pages.

In the site you will find valuable information on the courses offered in the department, lots of revision resources, and as time goes on examples of pupil/student work, including Podcasts !

We hope you will find everything you need here, and if you can think of any improvements we could make, then please let your computing teacher know!

Resources.

The Computing Department at Mearns Academy consists of two fully equipped computer suites, each with 20 PC's, Laser and Inkjet printers, Scanners and Smartboards.

Each computer is supplied with the latest software required for all levels of study in IT, Computing and Information Systems
Every pupil has filtered internet and email access, and outwith curricular use the computers are readily available in the library and computer rooms at lunchtime.
